### “How do we get this integration running?”

Decimal uses the customer’s Plain thread and connected product context to investigate what is blocking setup. The resolution returns to the thread. If the conversation starts in a Decimal chat widget, escalation can create a Plain thread with the full history.

## Connect your workspace

1. Select Plain in Settings → Integrations and enter your API key.
2. Configure the thread webhook and save the signing secret using the setup guide.
3. Choose Plain as your chat widget escalation target if you want to route conversations there.

## Access and permissions

Create a Plain API key with the permissions required for your connection. Configure request signing for webhooks.

## Connection details

Thread webhooks reduce the delay before customer replies reach Decimal. Widget escalation is configured separately.
