About Decimal

Decimal builds AI agents for technical support teams at companies with complex products. We help support teams resolve technical customer issues faster, reduce unnecessary engineering escalations, and deliver a better customer experience at scale.

We work with companies where support is deeply technical and high-stakes, including AI companies, developer platforms, infrastructure companies, robotics teams, fintech, cybersecurity, and enterprise SaaS businesses. Our customers include Tealium, Granola, BuildOps and other leading software companies.

We’re a fast-growing team, backed by Khosla Ventures, Kearny Jackson, Weekend Fund, Atlassian Ventures, and a great team of angels. We are signing enterprise customers and are seeing strong market pull from companies trying to solve one of the hardest operational problems in software: how to support complex products without constantly pulling engineering away from building.

Working at Decimal means joining an early team with real customer momentum and a product that is already working in the market. You’ll work directly with the founders, help shape our go-to-market motion, and have meaningful ownership as we build a category-defining company for technical support.

The role

We’re hiring an Account Executive to help accelerate Decimal’s growth with technically complex companies. This is a high-impact, full-cycle role where you’ll own opportunities from first conversation through pilot, security review, and close. You’ll play a critical role in helping Decimal scale its go-to-market motion from the ground up.

You’ll work directly with the founders to build relationships with technical buyers and turn qualified opportunities into long-term customers. You’ll learn our customers’ businesses, understand their support workflows, and run the technical evaluations that prove Decimal’s impact. Our buyers are often support, engineering, product, and executive leaders, so you should be comfortable navigating both business impact and technical detail.

You’ll be expected to operate as a builder: developing new relationships, shaping our sales motion, and serving as the voice of the customer inside Decimal. The ideal candidate is commercially driven, technically curious, and excited to help build the foundation of an early go-to-market team.

In this role, you will

  • Own full-cycle deals from first conversation through pilot, security review, and close
  • Run discovery that gets to real business impact: escalation volume, time to resolution, and engineering hours spent on support
  • Design and drive technical pilots alongside the founders and our engineering team, with success criteria defined up front
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes across support, engineering, product, security, procurement, and executive teams
  • Generate a meaningful share of your own pipeline through personalized outbound, while partnering closely with our SDR
  • Develop thoughtful, personalized messaging tailored to each prospect’s business and technical environment
  • Build trusted relationships with prospective customers through thoughtful, consistent outreach
  • Partner closely with the founders to refine pricing, packaging, messaging, and our ideal customer profile
  • Bring customer feedback and market insights to help shape Decimal’s product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
  • Maintain excellent CRM hygiene and ownership over pipeline progression and forecast accuracy
  • Help build the foundation of Decimal’s sales playbooks, systems, and sales culture as we scale

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in closing roles, including at least 2 years as a full-cycle Account Executive in B2B SaaS
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota
  • Experience selling technical, developer-facing, infrastructure, AI, SaaS, support, or workflow products is a strong plus
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong discovery skills and the ability to tie technical capabilities to business outcomes
  • Comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders, including support leaders, engineering leaders, product leaders, and executives
  • Technical curiosity. You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be excited to understand how software teams, support organizations, and technical products work
  • Experience running technical pilots or proofs of concept, and navigating enterprise security review and procurement, is a plus
  • Strong follow-through, CRM discipline, and ownership over your pipeline and forecast
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage, fast-moving environment where you’ll help build processes from the ground up
  • Comfortable working hours that significantly overlap with the US Pacific Time zone
